Brussels West, 18 November 2019 – ImpactBuilders is a brand new concept in the startup landscape. It is the first startup builder focusing on startups that want to impact the world. They want to proof “purpose before profit” can also generate profit, while serving a great cause.
The founding fathers of ImpactBuilders are former investment company manager Jan Lagast, former global HR Manager Remko Westerbeek, and former VP Supply Chain Edwin Van Vlierberghe. They had enough of the cold money-first approach of classic business. They decided life is too important to see it flying by for another one’s money-making machine. They decided that – from now on – they want to create impact first, and make money as a consequence of doing the right things for society.
ImpactBuilders creates new startups and coaches them to scale-up. One could compare their activity to a residential project developer who designs and constructs buildings for rent. Each block of such a residential project developer compares to a startup of ImpactBuilders.
For each startup, ImpactBuilders defines and molds the initial business idea. Then they draw the business plan, raise funds, attract and coach the leadership team, and ensure the startup stays on course to create impact. They also ensure all the basics are right: corporate governance, financial reporting, recruitment, communications, admin, etc.
In short, from idea to international expansion, ImpactBuilders creates and nurtures each startup, and ensures both its impact and its size grow substantially.
As a European venture, ImpactBuilders focuses on non-mainstream impact focus areas, in order to be able to define unique projects that could make a difference in Europe first, and then conquer the globe. Each of the projects strives to have a positive impact on society, while also ensuring business and economic progress:
In each focus area, ImpactBuilders will be creating and coaching new startups. The first startups are already active, and some of them are even making a win for clients, while others are in the co-creation process of their first offering. ImpactBuilders is now on the lookout for potential collaborators, partners, clients, investors, and board members. Ready for take-off in 2020.
