Today, we installed the Christmas tree in the office. Now that this side of the world is getting darker and colder, the decorated tree enlightens the room and brings a warm atmosphere in the office.
The tree used to be a custom of German and Kelt tribes living in Northern Europe centuries ago, for this exact purpose. Later it was adopted by the Catholic Church, as a means to create more compatibility between the then new religion and the old customs.
